Remove spots before they have time to dry into the floor, if possible. Wipe off if necessary with clean water and a squeezed rag. If the spot remains:
1. Always try soft soap solution first, and use a nylon scouring cloth (such as kitchen sponge).
White pigmented soap for white oiled floors and a natural soft soap for natural oiled floors.
2. Polish the spot off with a green nylon cloth, steel wool or fine sandpaper. If spot removal causes minor flattening of the surface gloss, touch it up with maintenance oil.

If spot removal causes major flattening of the surface gloss, touch the spots up with floor oil
as below:
1. Apply a layer of maintenance oil and leave it to soak for 30 minutes. White maintenance oil for white oiled floors. Natural maintenance oil for natural oiled floors.
2. Work over with a red disk or red doodlebug. Wipe off surplus oil.
3. Wait for at least 1 hour and polish with a dry, red floor care disk. Finish off with a dry rag.
Important
Always put used rags in a bucket of water. There is a risk they could self-ignite.
